The XID8600 Printer is the premium model in Matica’s proven XID retransfer printer series, offering ultra-high 600 dpi resolution for superior card printing quality. This model is ideal for meeting the increased demand for secure printing in ambitious ID card applications, such as national ID projects, driver’s license issuance, and similar projects. As most of these projects require dual-sided card personalization, the XID8600 comes with a factory-integrated duplex module in the standard model.
The extremely high 600 dpi resolution allows for sharp, compact character printing, with a minimum character size of 1.3 pt. Microtext and other complex graphic elements can be printed with impressive quality. As the flagship model in the series, the XID8600 can be configured and customized to meet all types of individual requirements. A range of XID encoding modules, such as smart card encoders (contact and contactless) and magnetic stripe encoders, ensures flexibility. High-quality printing is achievable on various card materials, including PVC, ABS, and even Polycarbonate. If required, the XID8600 can be connected to ILM-LS or ILM-DS laminating modules for inline lamination on the front and/or back of the card, providing additional protection or enhanced surface durability against abrasion and other physical impacts.
As a printer solution offering extensive project options, this model includes a variety of standard security features, such as an electronic lock, Kensington lock, and IPsec data encryption lock.
